State Opera House
The Renaissance-style Opera House opened in 1884 and rivals the one in Vienna. The 19th-century
Vigado Concert Hall is decorated with figures of former Hungarian monarchs and leaders.
Only the synagogue in New York City is larger than this great Byzantine-Moorish style synagogue on Dohany Street. Completed in 1859, it can accomodate up to 3,000 people.
