Next time you're going to be in the theatre district, try this Cuban
restaurant on West 52 Street, right next to the Neil Simon Theatre. The Friday night we were there,
they were offering a three course Prix-Fix dinner for $27.95 a person.
Both the Camarones enchilados
("Jumbo shrimp sauteed in a fragrant creole sauce of tomatoes, garlic, onions, green pepers, thyme, and wine")
and the Lechon asado ("Suckling pig marinated and roasted in the style of Puerto Boniato") were delicious.
The front dining room is more formal, but the back room features a colorful mural and a piano player
(at least on weekends). Date Visited: 3/28/2003
