Landscaping at Enchantment Resort
Enchantment receives a lot of raves, but the ones I’ve read have been
about the spa, which we didn’t visit. So what follows is about the rest of the resort – the rooms and landscaping.
Our $475 Casita Jr. Suite
We would have left Enchantment immediately upon seeing our room if we hadn’t prepaid one night in advance (as required). We left the next morning and fled to the Biltmore in Phoenix.

Views From Our Balcony
We were not going to Enchantment for the spa, we just wanted somewhere relaxing to hang out for a few days and enjoy the desert scenery.
I had been to the lush Camelback Inn resort in Scottsdale and had envisioned something similar with a lovely pool or two to lie around.

Below is what we found at Enchantment instead.
The Pool Near Our Second Room
There was a larger outdoor pool, but it was only marginally better than the one above (it did not have a fence around it).
Landscaping
Here are a few shots of the landscaping at Enchantment:

A few more details about our experience at Enchantment: We complained about the view
from our room when we arrived, and after about an hour they moved us to another room with a not much better view, near the fenced pool shown above. The air conditioning did not work in that room, so we waited for a man (who I believe was the assistant manager) to fix it.
After he "fixed" it, it made loud noises and we called him back - he said it was air in the line and could not be fixed. We waited another hour to be moved to a third room, with a view identical to that of the first room! By this time, we were hot, exhausted, and completely disgusted with Enchantment.
